Swiss Web Studio attaches particular importance to the protection of personal data and processes the information received in a transparent and proportionate manner.
This privacy policy describes how personal data is processed in the context of the website, business relationships and services of Swiss Web Studio.
The main basis is the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (FADP) and the corresponding ordinance.
When applicable to a specific processing, the provisions of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are also taken into account.

2. Scope of the information
This policy concerns, in particular:
- website visitors;
- potential customers;
- customers;
- suppliers;
- persons who contact Swiss Web Studio;
- recipients of commercial communications;
- users of online services.
When Swiss Web Studio processes personal data on behalf of its customer, for example in the context of the maintenance of a WooCommerce site containing data of the customer’s users, Swiss Web Studio may act as a controller in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Where necessary, such processing is regulated by specific data protection agreements.

The site and customer services may be hosted by professional providers, currently mainly Infomaniak and Jelastic-based infrastructures, depending on the project.
In the context of hosting, the following may be processed:

Swiss Web Studio prefers, when reasonably possible and appropriate, Swiss or European infrastructures.
7. Backups
Periodic backups may be made for the services managed by Swiss Web Studio.
Managed hosting systems normally provide for daily backups with an approximate retention of up to 7 days.
Backups may contain temporary copies of personal data on the sites concerned.
The copies are mainly used for security, recovery and business continuity.
8. Email communications
Swiss Web Studio mainly uses Infomaniak email services for professional communications.
Communications may be kept for the time necessary to manage the business relationship and for any documentation or proof obligations.
9. Bexio
Swiss Web Studio uses bexio for administrative and management tasks such as:
- customer management;
- business contacts;
- quotes;
- invoices;
- accounting;
- administration.
The data required for these activities can therefore be processed via the bexio systems in accordance with the relevant terms of service and data protection.
10. Newsletters and commercial communications
Swiss Web Studio may send newsletters or communications relating to its services.
The sending takes place to persons who have given their consent or if there is another legitimate basis for such communication.
The mere presence of a contact in the bexio management system is not automatically considered as unrestricted consent to the sending of newsletters.
Each recipient can request not to receive further promotional communications at any time.
When an external newsletter platform is used, this policy is updated to indicate the relevant provider when necessary.
11. Cookies
The site may use cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies may be:
necessary, for security and operation;
functional, to store preferences;
statistical, to understand the use of the site;
marketing, to measure campaigns or show advertising;
third-party, when external services are integrated.
Non-necessary cookies are managed through the consent system used on the site, which is currently also based on the features available through SEOPress.

The actual data processing depends on the services activated via the container.

Swiss Web Studio may use Google Ads, including conversion tracking and remarketing tools.
These technologies can make it possible to measure whether a person has taken an action after viewing or clicking on an advertisement.
Non-essential advertising technologies are activated in accordance with the user’s consent preferences when requested.

Swiss Web Studio seeks to apply a principle of minimisation and to avoid the entry of personal data, confidential information or unnecessary data into external AI systems.
If the processing of personal data by an IV service is necessary for the execution of a project, the relevant data protection conditions and the role of the parties are assessed.
23. Disclosure to third parties
Personal data may be disclosed to categories of recipients to the extent necessary, such as:
- hosting providers;
- cloud providers;

- bexio and administrative services;
- domain registrars;
- software providers;
- analytics services;
- advertising platforms;
- AI services;
- professional advisors when necessary;

Swiss Web Studio does not sell the personal data of its customers or visitors as its own business.

The duration may differ depending on the category.
Contract data, invoices and accounting documents may be stored for periods under Swiss law.
Requests that are not commercially processed are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer required.
Backups are deleted in accordance with the applicable technical rotation cycles.

Swiss Web Studio takes reasonable and risk-proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect data from:

- modification;
- destruction;
- unauthorized disclosure.
However, no computer system can offer absolute security.
27. Rights of data subjects
Within the limits provided for by applicable law, a person may, in particular, request:

- deletion in the cases provided for;
- restriction of certain processing;

This Privacy Policy may be updated as a result of:

- changes in processing activities.
The published version always shows the date of the last update.
Substantial changes are communicated when necessary.
